Who we are looking for
We have an ongoing full time position for a Team Leader - Civil Maintenance, based in Portland.
This position comes with a generous salary of $91,529 to $99,513 p.a. plus superannuation
We're looking for someone to lead the Portland Civil Maintenance Team and help maintain our water and sewerage assets and systems safely, effectively and efficiently.
This is a great opportunity to lead a skilled team and play an important role in delivering essential services to the community.
What you'll be doing
On a day-to-day basis, you'll:
Provide oversight supervision for the safe completion of both proactive and reactive maintenance programs.
Monitor and provide direction as required to the Portland Civil Maintenance Team to ensure work orders are being completed within the required timeframes, with accurate asset information.
Review safe work practices and procedures in line with regulations and our Zero Harm business aspirations, by supporting the team to uphold our strong safety culture.
Monitor the operation of sewer pump stations to ensure reliability and continuous service.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone with
Relevant experience in the operation and maintenance of water and sewerage systems.
Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to provide direction, leadership and on-the-job training to supervised employees.
Develop operator competencies for the work activities they undertake on a day-to-day basis.
