The role
A federal agency is seeking a Lead Cyber Analyst for a high performing, rapid paced ICT cyber security team.
You'll review and help develop security documentation, including System Security Plan Annexes and System Security Plans, and run security risk assessments in line with the Protective Security Policy Framework and Information Security Manual.
Key duties include:
Conducting security risk assessments across Azure Cloud, legacy systems and AI technology
Reviewing and contributing to security documentation and system designs
Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues under limited supervision
Managing a large and varied workload
Presenting risk assessments and findings to senior executives
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with government standards
About you
3 to 5 years' government experience conducting security risk assessments in a cyber team
Hands on experience assessing risk across Azure Cloud, legacy systems and AI technology
Current knowledge of PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight applied to system design
Strong stakeholder management, comfortable with technical and non-technical audiences
Confident presenting to senior executives
Solid understanding of networking infrastructure
Exposure to Azure DevOps is a plus
Australian Citizen, must be able to obtain NV1 Security Clearance
The offer
12 month initial contract with two 12 month extension options
Estimated start date of 17 August ****
Hybrid working arrangement based in Canberra, up to 40 hours per week
Work within a well resourced, high impact cyber security function at a major federal department
