About the chance
Working on a 3-4 month fixed term basis from our Subiaco office, Altrad are seeking an experienced Payroll Data and Integration Lead to manage the payroll workstream of a major business integration.
Reporting into the project, you'll lead the end-to-end migration of payroll into Definitiv, oversee the transition from monthly to fortnightly pay cycles, and ensure payroll accuracy is maintained throughout.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role.
You'll be configuring systems, interpreting awards, and where required, stepping in to process pays directly to keep the business running smoothly.
Definitiv experience is highly regarded, but candidates with strong payroll analyst experience and the ability to adapt quickly are equally encouraged to apply.
Your duties include:
Partner with Payroll, HR, Finance and Operational Managers to ensure systems, policies and processes are well understood and operational across the business
Support communications to impacted employees regarding payroll changes and assist in managing the broader change process
Deliver a thorough handover to payroll teams on project completion,
ensuring full understanding of the system configuration
Support in payroll processing as required to ensure there are no impacts to personnel pay during transition
Support payroll audits and compliance activities as they arise throughout the integration
Provide input and recommendations on payroll process improvements identified during the transition
About you
You're an experienced payroll professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments and takes genuine ownership of getting the detail right.
You bring a methodical, analytical approach to complex payroll challenges and are comfortable working autonomously to drive a project through to completion.
Minimum 5 years' experience in end-to-end payroll within a medium to large organisation
Demonstrated experience processing complex payrolls across multiple legal entities or Enterprise Agreements
Proven experience supporting payroll audits and compliance activities
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with exceptional attention to detail
Prior experience with company integrations or change management is highly regarded
