Job Description
This role exists to ensure Safety Culture's Salesforce platform is expertly administered and closely aligned with the needs of our Go-to-Market (GTM) teams. As part of a broader Salesforce practice at Safety Culture, the Salesforce Administrator owns a explicit scope of GTM-facing platform work, while independently leading cross-functional projects to scope, build, and deliver system enhancements that improve how our sales and Customer Success teams operate.
/n
/n
- Own the GTM-facing scope of Salesforce administration — including fields, page layouts, record types, custom objects, flows, validation rules, and process automation — working alongside other Salesforce specialists in the organisation to keep the platform reliable and scalable.
/n
- Work independently with GTM stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and lead cross-functional system change projects from requirements through testing, rollout, and adoption.
/n
- Evaluate where AI can enhance Salesforce workflows and processes, and implement AI-assisted solutions where they add measurable value.
/n
- Provide technical support to Salesforce users, resolving issues and addressing enhancement requests clearly and promptly.
/n
- Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and best-practice guides to build platform capability across the GTM team.
/n
- Support integration and data flow between Salesforce and adjacent GTM tools such as Gainsight and Gong to ensure systems work together effectively.
/n/n
Technical skills
/n
/n
- Deep hands-on Salesforce administration capability — custom fields and objects, page layouts, flows, validation rules,
process automation, permissions, roles, reports, and dashboards.
/n
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into Salesforce configurations and automations, working independently without close technical supervision.
/n
- Solid understanding of the Lead-to-Revenue process in Salesforce, including opportunity management and subscription lifecycle.
/n
- Experience scoping and managing cross-functional system change projects, including requirements definition, stakeholder alignment, testing, and adoption.
/n
- Salesforce certifications (Administrator and App Builder preferred) — active Trailhead engagement welcomed.
/n
- Familiarity with adjacent GTM tools such as Gainsight or Gong, and how they connect with Salesforce.
/n/n
Behavioural skills
/n
/n
- Works independently with stakeholders across functions — comfortable owning a requirements conversation without close management.
/n
- Breaks ambiguous business problems into clear technical scope and moves forward without waiting for a perfect brief.
/n
- Solutions-oriented: brings options, not just problems, and follows through to delivery.
/n
- Communicates technical concepts clear to non-technical audiences and writes documentation that teams actually use.
/n
- Detail-oriented without losing sight of the outcome — knows when precision matters and when to keep moving.
/n/n
AI skills
/n
/n
- Uses AI tools actively to develop and refine Salesforce flows, workflows, and automations more efficiently.
/n
- Applies AI to diagnose and resolve platform issues faster.
/n
- Evaluates whether AI could enhance existing Salesforce workflows or processes and can build or recommend AI-assisted solutions where appropriate.
/n
- Stays across AI developments relevant to GTM systems and how they might apply to Safety Culture's tech stack.
/n/n
/n
- Equity with high growth potential, and a competitive salary
/n
- Flexible working arrangements, we encourage you to create the best work blend while working from your home and the local Safety Culture office
/n
- Access to professional and personal training and development opportunities
/n
- Hackathons, Workshops, Lunch & Learns
/n
- We encourage involvement in the community, open source work, attending talks and events, and experimenting with current technologies
/n
- In-house Culinary Crew serving up daily breakfast, lunch and snacks
/n
- Barista coffee machine, craft beer on tap, boutique wines and a range of non-alcoholic beverages
/n
- Wellbeing initiatives such as subsidised fitness programs, EAP services and generous parental leave policy
/n
- Quarterly celebrations and team events, including our Shiplt global offsite
/n
- On-site gym, table tennis, board games, books library, and pet-friendly offices
