We are currently seeking to employee an Automation Technician to join the I2 R team. As an Automation Technician, you will be working on industrial electrical controls projects for some of Australia's largest food & beverage processors, Agribusiness and Water/Waste Water providers.
This position is based in the Brisbane, with occasional pre scheduled interstate travel. As an Automation Engineer you will: Deliver automation solutions across the full project lifecycle — from system design and functional specifications through to programming, in office commissioning, and handover Work on a variety of control systems including Rockwell, Siemens, and Codesys-based PLCs Develop and commission SCADA systems,
including Ignition and Citect SCADATroubleshoot and resolve control system faults across a broad range of industries Collaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose automation solutions Travel nationally to support on-site commissioning as required The ideal candidate will: Demonstrated experience in PLC programming, commissioning and fault finding Familiarity with Ignition or a strong willingness to learn Solid understanding of industrial control systems and SCADA platforms Familiarity with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.)Excellent computer literacy and technical aptitude Strong written and verbal communication skills A commitment to safe work practices and professional conduct Effective time management and the ability to adapt to changing priorities A logical, solution-focused mindset and a desire to continuously improve A genuine interest in delivering great outcomes for our customers
