Group Delivery Lead – Tech & Digital @ MAP TALENT

The Role:

/n

We're looking for an experienced Lead System Architectto play a pivotal role in shaping the future architecture of an industry leading organisation in the education sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, balancing innovation with legacy considerations, and guiding teams toward scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

/n

/n

- Define & own the technical vision: establish and communicate a clear architectural direction that ensures the platform is robust, secure, scalable, and aligned to business strategy.

/n

- Guide product development: actively contribute to the software development lifecycle, mentor developers, and ensure quality code delivery that meets modern standards.

/n

- Oversee testing & quality: lead initial testing, coordinate product validation, and ensure solutions meet required specifications before release.

/n

- Provide advanced technical support: act as a Level 4 escalation point for complex incidents, ensuring timely resolution for key customers.

/n

- Balance innovation & legacy: integrate modern technologies while managing existing systems to maintain business continuity.

/n

- Scaling the architecture to support business growth.

/n

- Managing legacy technology while driving innovation.

/n

- Ensuring non-functional requirements (security, performance, reliability) are never overlooked.

/n





- Communicating effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

/n/n

Skills & Experience:

/n

/n

- Deep expertise in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET, and Windows Servers – essential for success in this role.

/n

- Proven experience designing and building solutions for payments or payment gateways.

/n

- Strong background in application architecture and design patterns.

/n

- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (Agile).

/n

- Proficiency across a broad tech stack including:

/n

- Desktop & reporting tools: Win Forms, Crystal Reports (SAP).

/n

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.

/n

- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions that scale.

/n/n
