Join an established not-for-profit organisation based in West Perth that is committed to making a meaningful difference in the community. This organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to support payroll operations during a transition period as their long-serving Payroll Officer prepares for retirement. This is a 2 days per week role - perfect for those who are looking to work part-time hours.
Your current role
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining payroll records and employee leave balances
- Processing PAYG, salary sacrifice and payroll reconciliations
- Processing termination payments and payroll adjustments
- Resolving payroll queries and discrepancies
- Ensuring payroll activities comply with relevant Awards, legislation and statutory requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience managing payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, superannuation and taxation requirements
- Experience interpreting Awards and employment agreements
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience with manual payroll processing will be highly regarded
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
