About the Client
The client is a leading resources company with extensive operations in lithium, iron ore, energy, and mining services across Western Australia.
About the Position
Reporting to the Manager Operations & Logistics, the Field Supervisor is responsible for coordinating field activities and supervising field crews and contractor partners to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with operational and regulatory requirements. You will support exploration and geology programs, oversee logistics and field operations, and contribute to project delivery through effective planning, communication, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise daily field operations and contractor activities
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safe work procedures
- Conduct toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and safety communications
- Monitor contractor productivity, compliance, and performance
- Coordinate exploration logistics, permitting, and field activities
- Support sample processing and dispatch activities to QA/QC standards
- Manage procurement and service requests to support field operations
- Maintain workforce training records and competency requirements
- Support short-term planning and scheduling of field resources
- Provide coaching and mentoring to field personnel and contractors
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar supervisory role
- S26 Statutory Supervisor Qualification
- Cert III in Mineral Exploration with field supervision experience beneficial
- Strong contractor management and field leadership capability
- Experience working in exploration, mining, or field-based operations
- Strong understanding of safety systems and risk management processes
- Current C Class Driver's Licence (manual)
- Forklift High Risk Work Licence (beneficial)
- Current First Aid Qualification
- Robust communication, planning, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently in remote operational environments
