About Our Client

Our client is a well-established and growing construction business based in Brisbane's Southern Suburbs. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a reliable and proactive Bookkeeper to support day-to-day finance, payroll and administration functions. This role is being advertised on a temp to perm basis

Job Description

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for:

- Process and allocate invoices in Xero
- Supplier account maintenance and setup
- Bank reconciliations
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Weekly payment runs
- Maintain accurate AP records
- Support the collection and management of outstanding accounts
- End-to-end weekly payroll processing
- New employee and subcontractor setup
- Employee reimbursements
- Subcontractor superannuation administration
- Payroll reporting and record management
- Project cost tracking and invoice reconciliation
- Purchase order reconciliation
- Project documentation management
- General administration support

The Successful Applicant

The successful Bookkeeper will have:





- Minimum 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping, payroll or accounts role
- Strong end-to-end Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll experience
- Advanced working knowledge of Xero
- Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience in a construction, trades, project-based or commercial environment will be highly regarded
- Experience working with project costing software is advantageous but not essential
