The Chance
We have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Senior Credit Controller to join our team in Brisbane. Credit Control operates collaboratively across the firm, working closely with Partners, legal teams, clients and internal stakeholders to manage and coordinate seamless bill-to-pay process across the firm's client portfolio.
As the Senior Credit Controller, you will facilitate the timely collection of all amounts due and payable in respect to the firm's legal services, with a view to reducing outstanding debt levels. Key duties will include:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Partners,
Practice Executives and Finance Managers across the firm to support the credit control function.
- Participate in scheduled debtor review meetings with Partners and Practice Executives.
- Conduct detailed analysis of the debtor's ledger to identify priorities and risks.
- Proactively follow up with clients to secure payment of outstanding invoices.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all collection activities in Elite 3E.
- Prepare detailed reports on major client accounts for Partners.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:
- Prior relevant work experience in a Credit/Collections role, preferably in a professional services firm.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders of all levels and external clients.
- Advanced IT systems skills (ERPs) and Excel to an advanced level
- Knowledge of debt recovery procedures.
- A proactive attitude and strong continuous improvement focus.
