Taroom Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Taroom Ward team on a four-week contract from 31 August to 27 September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with rural and remote experience to contribute to a busy general ward in regional Queensland. The role offers up to 80 hours per fortnight on a versatile schedule, with a salary range of AUD58.95 to AUD76.20 per hour, and travel costs from Brisbane capped at $200 each way.

Preferred Requirements

- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification




- Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing and rural or remote healthcare settings
- Proven competence in IV cannulation, triage assessment, and team leadership
- On-call availability and flexibility to meet ward demands
- Strong clinical communication and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Post-graduate or specialist qualifications in emergency or rural nursing are advantageous
