Role - Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP HR Functional Expert to support a complex SAP HR and Payroll workplace. You will be responsible for delivering functional analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, stakeholder engagement, and production support across SAP HCM and Payroll modules. This role will play a key part in business-critical projects, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring operational stability and compliance.

Employment Type and Duration: Contract - 12 months (with potential extensions)

Work Model: Hybrid

Location: Brisbane CBD, QLD

Key Responsibilities

· Provide functional support across SAP HR and Payroll, including BAU activities and enhancement projects.

· Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP HR solutions.

· Design, configure, test, and implement SAP HCM and Payroll enhancements.

· Support Payroll optimisation initiatives, including award standardisation and timesheet-to-pay automation.

· Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex SAP HR and Payroll issues.

· Develop and maintain functional specifications, solution design documents, configuration documentation, and test scripts.

· Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

· Support integration between SAP HR and other business applications.

· Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to internal support teams.

· Participate in system upgrades, support pack implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.





Required Skills & Experience

· Extensive experience in SAP HR and Payroll functional configuration and support.

· Strong expertise in SAP Payroll, Personnel Administration (PA), Organisational Management (OM), Personnel Development (PD), and ESS/MSS.

· Proven experience configuring Payroll rules, schemas, and time management solutions.

· Strong ability to analyse complex business requirements and deliver effective SAP solutions.

· Experience with SAP HCM documentation, testing, defect resolution, and production support.

· Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills.

· Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA HR and Payroll environments.

· Exposure to HR transformation or Payroll optimisation projects is highly regarded.

Qualifications & Clearance

· Minimum 7+ years of SAP HR/Payroll functional experience.

· Experience with SAP HR upgrades, enhancement packs, and support pack implementations is desirable.

· Exposure to SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Payroll Control Centre, Off-Cycle Workbench, or HR/Payroll Workbench is advantageous.

· Previous experience working in government or large enterprise environments is highly regarded.
