About the role

We are seeking experienced Civil Construction traffic controllers, Labourers & Operators to join our team at Cross Traffic & Labour Services. This is a casual position based in Melbourne metro , offering flexible work opportunities in the civil construction sector. As a Civil Construction Labourer & Operator, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of construction projects, operating machinery, and performing essential labour tasks that contribute to the successful completion of civil engineering & building construction works.

What you'll be doing

- Operating plant and machinery safely and in accordance with all relevant regulations and site requirements

- Performing general site labour duties on construction sites

- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of work areas and equipment, concreting, plastering, drainage, and trades assistance

- Supporting the installation and removal of temporary structures and safety barriers

- Maintaining accurate records of plant and equipment usage and condition

- Adhering to all health and safety protocols and reporting any incidents or hazards immediately

- Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure project milestones are met

- Performing site cleaning and waste management duties to maintain a safe and tidy work workplace

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a construction labourer or plant operator in civil construction projects

- Valid operator's licences for relevant plant and machinery (such as excavators, bulldozers, rollers, skid steer & pozi track and compactors)





- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card)

- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites

- Ability to work safely and responsibly with heavy plant and machinery

- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Reliability and punctuality in meeting shift requirements

- Flexibility to work on a casual basis with varying hours and locations

- Current First Aid Certificate accompanied with high risk work licenses
