We are seeking an experiencedData Architectto join a high-performing Federal Government agency.
The successfulData Architectwill lead the design and development of data architecture foundations for a major digital initiative, supporting improved data exchange, governance, quality and interoperability across a complex multi-agency workplace.
The successfulData Architectwill secure an initial 6-month contract with a 6-month extension option, based in CanberraTheData Architectwill be responsible for but not limited to:Designing conceptual and logical data models, schemas and data dictionariesTranslating business and regulatory requirements into structured data architecture artefactsMapping data elements, reporting forms, data flows and transformation rulesSupporting reference data, metadata, lineage,



data quality and governance arrangementsAdvising on structured data exchange, XML, validation rules and integration patternsEngaging with technical, business and policy stakeholders to validate and endorse deliverablesTheData Architectwill have experience in the following:Demonstrated experience in data modelling and schema design for complex domainsExperience developing data reference models, data sets, mapping specifications and metadataStrong understanding of data governance, quality management, lineage and traceabilityExperience with structured data exchange formats and integration approachesStrong documentation and stakeholder communication skillsSQL experience is highly regarded, with Python, R, Power BI or Tableau beneficial
