This is a community-based adult Mental Health Service based out of Roberts Road. It provides continuing care to consumers in the South area of Cairns. Most of our consumers have either a psychotic illness or severe mood disorder with high first nations and captures Yarrabah Indigenous community. There is also a high volume of patients on SILS accommodation and Forensic orders. There is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, one registrar, and a 0.6FTE consultant attending to patients including Yarrabah and cloz shared care.
This hospital supports an estimated resident population of 289,000 and is a 531 bed facility
