The team is dedicated to waste-minimisation, landfill diversion and producing high-quality recycled plastic products that support a more sustainable future for industry and the setting.With continued growth across their Geelong facility, GT Recycling is expanding their production capability and now seeking dedicated Extruder Operators to join the night-shift team.About the RoleAs an Extruder Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion equipment used in the production of recycled plastic pellets.
This role suits someone mechanically minded, safety-focused, and confident working with industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate, monitor and adjust extrusion equipment to ensure consistent product qualitySet and manage process parameters including temperature, pressure and feed ratesConduct routine machine checks,



cleaning and basic preventive maintenanceTroubleshoot operational issues and escalate technical faults where requiredMaintain accurate production records and contribute to thorough shift handoversUphold safety, quality and environmental standards at all timesMaintain cleanliness and organisation around the extruder and production floorWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience operating extrusion or similar manufacturing equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret and adjust process settingsDemonstrated focus on workplace safety and following proceduresReliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently on night shiftForklift licence (desirable but not essential)Experience in plastics, recycling or manufacturing settings (advantage)Full time, ongoing night-shift roleStable hours Monday-FridayPenalty rates for night shiftWork with a supportive, long-established family businessJoin a company committed to sustainability and circular-economy practicesTraining and skill-development opportunities available
