Total Remuneration Package: $111,798 - $132,585. Package includes salary ($98,499 - $116,813) plus employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Aboriginal Health students by joining our team of teachers on a permanent full-time basis, located at Tamworth Campus. With travel to Port Macquarie and occasional visits to Broken Hill and Dubbo Tafe campuses.

In this role you will deliver educational programs and facilitate learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. Share your passion for providing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People with a high quality and culturally safe healthcare. Teach students to work and communicate effectively in a primary healthcare support role with the safe use of medication and the ability to work legally and ethically.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Aboriginality (Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act of 1977). Candidates selected for an interview must provide Confirmation of Aboriginality documentation at or before interview.
- Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Certificate IV in Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice or Certificate IV in Aboriginal Health or a Bachelors of Nursing or are an Enrolled Nurse or equivalent.
- Have a current registration with AHPRA as an Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Practitioner.
- Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in delivering a range of primary health care programs in partnership with Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander communities within the last five (5) years.
