Our award-winning graduate program has been running for many yearsandis ranked among Australia’s top ten small-sized programs on the AAGE Top Graduate Employers list.
Graduates are hired as permanent employeesand spend theirfirst18monthson the graduate program,experiencing three different teams across our business, known as ‘rotations’.In addition tocompletingthree rotations, graduates progress through a structured learning and development plan, have access to senior leaders, and spend time with their graduate cohort forming meaningful and long-lasting connections.

Insurance underwriting is a highly technical skill set that is critical to our business. This graduate programfocuses on business insurance, which can be incredibly complex. Businesses of all sizes across many industries presentuniquerisks,and you will learn what to consider before weoffer insurance protection to a business customer.
Within underwriting,youwillbuild technical skills through analysis and underwriting practices, and advanced communicationskills,assuccess in this role will rely on effectively working with many different stakeholders.
As an insurance underwriting graduate,you’llwork in three different underwriting teams, experiencing different lines of insurance anddifferent typesof customers across many industries.

Our graduate programcommencesonce a year each February. To be eligible for theunderwritingbusiness area of the 2027 graduate program, you must:
Have completed and passed tertiary education in the two years prior to the graduate program start date, graduating between the end of 2024 and the end of 2026
Submit a resume and academic transcript with your application. A cover letter is notrequired.
Be able to start full time in February 2027
Whilst some education disciplines align more to the technical nature of insurance underwriting than others, for example,actuarial,legal studies, economics, business, engineering, we are accepting applications for the insurance underwriting graduate program from any field of studyif you have a solid interest.
