Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Dual Trade Electrician / Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team servicing Rio Tinto and approved vendor sites throughout the Pilbara.

Project & Scope

Based out of Tom Price, you’ll work across Rio Tinto iron ore operations throughout the Pilbara, delivering electrical and refrigeration services directly for Rio Tinto and approved contractor partners.

This role offers an excellent mix of project and maintenance work, allowing you to apply your technical skills across a broad range of mining environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Installation Excellence: Execute high‑level electrical and refrigeration installation work across various mine sites and commercial infrastructure.
- Asset Optimisation: Perform vital mine‑spec upgrades to specialised site equipment.
- Maintenance & Repair: Minimise site downtime through proactive maintenance, rapid diagnostics, and fault‑finding.
- Safety Leadership: Uphold GenusPlus’s uncompromising commitment to safe, efficient working environments.

Skills & Experience Required

To get mobilised quickly onto active Rio Tinto iron ore operations, you will need:

Licences & Qualifications

- Current WA A‑Grade Unrestricted Electrical Licence AND a Refrigeration Licence (Essential).
- Australian Manual C‑Class Driver’s Licence.
- White Card & National Police Clearance.

Safety Tickets

- Current CPR, LVR, and First Aid.
- Current Working at Heights.
- High‑Risk Work Licence (WP Class).

Experience & Attributes

- Minimum of 2 years post‑trade experience across mining, maintenance, and heavy industrial installation.
- Exceptional fault‑finding, diagnostics, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Rio Tinto Inductions are highly preferred to quick‑track your site mobilisation.
- Ability to provide at least two positive, contactable employment references.
