We're seeking a reliable and energetic self-starter to join our team on a full time basis on an 8 – month maternity leave contract.The key duties of this position includes but is not limited to:Communicate with internal and external Customers for updates on freight;Reconcile connote data and shipping documentation for movement of products domestically;Administration and cross-checking of financial and operations data;Complete daily/weekly/monthly reporting within prescribed timeframes;Prepare invoices for Transport and Shipping departments and responding to customer queries;Monitor accounts receivables balances and follow up any outstanding payments;Prepare reports of delivery data to customers, head office and relevant external stakeholders;Assist with reconciling and checking Driver logbooks and assisting Payroll with processing of hours and applicable allowances;Reconcile financial accounts for reporting; andProvide administrative assistance and undertake tasks as requested.About youYou are a self-motivated person with a can-do attitude, flexibility to work independently or within a team and the capacity to absorb, retain and apply new information.
Your strong communication and time management skills will assist you in planning and problem solving to meet customer requirements.Additionally, you will have:Experience in the transport and logistics, or similar, industry;Business administration and data entry skills;Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines; andCompetency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
