Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles
- Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure fleet safety and compliance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Maintain accurate service records using fleet management systems
- Support workshop safety and cleanliness in line with WHS policies
- Carry out basic welding and grinding work as required
Qualifications
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
- A valid HR licence (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of hydraulics and electrics
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently and cost‑effectively
- Experience with fleet maintenance and running repairs
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
