Job Overview

Engineering Trades Australia is seeking experienced Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters to support a large‑scale installation and construction project in Yatala, QLD . This work involves structural fabrication, heavy mechanical assembly, equipment installation, and general construction support across a high‑volume operational facility upgrade. If you have strong trade experience and want to step into a major project with immediate work available, we want to hear from you.

Roster: 10:4 – Up to $67ph

Boilermaker Responsibilities

- Structural steel fabrication and installation
- MIG/TIG/flux‑core welding depending on task requirements
- Fabricating, assembling, and installing frames, platforms, brackets, and access components
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings for accurate fabrication
- Working within active construction zones around other trades and plant installation works

Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities

- Installation, alignment, and commissioning assistance for conveyors, machinery, and fixed plant components
- Assembly and bolting of mechanical equipment, supports, and structural interfaces
- Fault‑finding, adjustments,



and mechanical fit‑up during installation phases
- Interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Working within a multi‑discipline crew to meet project deliverables and changeovers

What You Must Have

- Relevant trade qualification (Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter)
- Demonstrated experience in heavy industrial, construction, or installation projects
- Proven ability to work from engineering drawings with accuracy
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Valid Driver's License or government‑issued photo ID
- Ability to complete required e‑learning and site inductions before starting

Highly Regarded

- Current Working Safely at Heights ticket
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) license
- Experience on large upgrade, shutdown, or installation projects
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work efficiently within a fast‑moving project environment
