The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Product Specialist to join us on a 6-month Fixed-term contract and play a key role in leading the end‑to‑end product development and lifecycle management across PDS drafting, benefit and rule design, market and competitor analysis, and partner onboarding. Work closely with Pricing, Claims, Operations, Commercial, and Legal and Compliance to deliver products that are customer fit, compliant, commercially effective, and ready for delivery and audit at launch. The role is reporting to the Head of Product and will work closely with Chief Insurance Officer.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys translating strategy and insights into high‑quality product artefacts that are ready to go live, audit‑ready, and easy for partners and teams to use.

What you’ll be doing

- Draft, review and maintain product documentation including PDSs, schedules, endorsements, FAQs, summaries and training materials
- Keep artefacts consistent with pricing intent, underwriting rules, and internal governance standards; manage version control and approvals.
- Translate portfolio, pricing, and claims insights into changes to benefits, eligibility, sub-limits, and exclusions.
- Balance customer outcomes, operational practicality, and commercial objectives when recommending design adjustments.
- Run regular market and competitor scans; maintain simple position maps and recommendations.
- Feed evidence‑based insights into the product roadmap and proposals for enhancements or simplification.





Delivery readiness & UAT

- Lead product impact assessments across Pricing, Claims, Operations, Technology, Distribution Lead product impact assessments across Pricing, Claims, Operations, Legal and Compliance, Distribution, and Technology.
- Support UAT scope and test case design; coordinate business sign‑off so changes work as intended at go live.

Partner enablement & launches

- Prepare partner‑ready product packs for tenders, current launches, and enhancements, including documentation and training materials.
- Support onboarding and change delivery for partners to agreed timelines and quality standards.

Governance & TMD compliance

- Contribute to TMD inputs (target segments, distribution conditions, review triggers) with the governance team.
- Ensure product changes remain aligned to DDO and internal control expectations, with audit‑ready traceability.

Performance reporting and continuous improvement

- Track simple product KPIs (accuracy of documents, cycle time for minor changes, partner feedback on artefacts).
- Capture lessons learned after releases and incidents; update templates, checklists, and guidance.

Stakeholder collaboration

- Work closely with Pricing, Claims, Commercial, Operations, Technology, and Legal and Compliance.
- Communicate clearly, keep stakeholders informed on scope, timelines, risks, and required decisions.

About you

- 5+ years’ experience in general insurance (travel advantageous) in product development/management.
- Demonstrated capability in PDS drafting, product rule design, and benefit configuration with robust attention to detail.
- Proven stakeholder agility across Legal/Compliance, Pricing, Operations, Claims, Commercial, Partners, and Insurers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

- Degree in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline
- Product governance or regulatory training highly regarded
