As our next Junior Legal Counsel , you’ll play a key role in supporting that journey — helping us manage legal risk, strengthen governance and build a business where people feel confident, informed and protected.

THE ROLE

Report to the Senior Legal Counsel, you'll be a trusted advisor across Decode, working as part of a close‑knit and collaborative team. You’ll support a wide range of legal matters — from research and contract reviews to disputes, investigations and project‑related legal issues — while helping strengthen our legal frameworks and operational processes.

You’ll independently conduct legal and factual research, prepare briefs for external lawyers, draft and review legal documents, and assist with the management of disputes, litigation and debt recovery. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining legal registers, templates, databases and reporting systems,



ensuring our legal operations run smoothly and efficiently.

- Legal research to support decision‑making, risk assessments and strategic matters.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts , agreements, correspondence and legal documents.
- Dispute and litigation support including preparing briefs, coordinating evidence and liaising with external counsel.
- Debt recovery support through documentation, tracking and stakeholder coordination.
- Due diligence for transactions, projects and risk assessments.
- Maintain legal files, registers, templates, databases and reporting systems.
- Track key deadlines, risks and matter progress to ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external lawyers to progress legal matters efficiently.
- Champion legal best practice while continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and documentation.

- A proactive mindset and genuine interest in commercial, corporate and dispute‑related legal work.
