About the role

We’re currently looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our Snackfoods team based primarily at Dandenong South with travel to Braeside and Keysborough as required. The role leads the site’s maintenance and reliability function to maximise plant uptime, equipment performance and operational efficiency. It drives a proactive “no‑downtime” culture through effective implementation of maintenance strategies, asset management systems, capital improvement programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the maintenance and reliability strategy to improve equipment uptime, OEE and asset performance.
- Drive preventative, predictive and continuous‑improvement maintenance practices across the site.
- Manage maintenance planning, shutdowns, spare parts, contractor performance and compliance requirements.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement solutions to reduce planned and unplanned downtime.
- Oversee the SAP PM/EAM (CMMS) system to optimise maintenance execution and asset management.
- Support and deliver capital projects, automation initiatives and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all HSEQ, GMP and HACCP requirements.
- Manage maintenance budgets, cost‑control initiatives and asset lifecycle planning.
- Develop,



coach and lead a high‑performing maintenance team while fostering a strong safety and continuous‑improvement culture.

About You

- 5+ years of experience in a Maintenance, Reliability or Engineering leadership role within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Proven success improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and driving operational performance.
- Strong leadership, people‑management and team‑development skills.
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems, reliability programmes and CMMS platforms (SAP PM/EAM preferred).
- Working knowledge of PLCs, automation and contemporary manufacturing technologies.
- Experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or similar methodologies.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Engineering degree or relevant trade qualification, with additional qualifications in Lean, TPM, Six Sigma or Project Management highly regarded.
