Head of Finance Business Partnering

Lead commercial finance at a senior level. Shape strategy, challenge decisions, and drive performance in a complex, fast-paced environment with significant influence.

Role focus

- Act as the key finance partner to executive and senior commercial leaders.
- Translate financial data into sharp, actionable business insights.
- Drive forecasting, budgeting, and planning cycles end to end.
- Provide high-quality commercial analysis to support investment and commercial decisions.
- Identify risks and opportunities, recommend trade-offs, and challenge assumptions.
- Lead performance reporting, including P&L; and category performance.
- Elevate reporting quality, simplifying information for senior stakeholders.
- Champion process and systems improvement across planning, reporting, and analysis.

Team leadership

- Lead a Finance Business Partnering team with clear direction and high standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop finance professionals to deepen commercial capability.
- Embed a culture of curiosity, challenge, and continuous improvement.
- Promote collaboration between finance, commercial, category, and operations teams.

Key experience required





- Extensive senior experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A;, or commercial finance.
- Proven background in FMCG, CPG, product-led, or similarly complex commercial environments.
- Strong track record in forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting, and P&L; management.
- Advanced financial modelling and scenario planning skills.
- Ability to turn data into concise narratives for executive audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and stakeholder influencing skills.

Technical and systems capability

- High proficiency in Excel for modelling and analysis.
- Solid understanding of ERP, planning, and reporting platforms.
- Comfortable interrogating large data sets to derive commercial insight.
- Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and operational pragmatism.
- Explicit, confident communicator with executive presence.
- Resilient and decisive under pressure and ambiguity.
- Highly collaborative, able to build trusted relationships across functions.
