Working within an integrated, family-centered model of care, you'll collaborate with experienced nursing and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality services that support children during their most important years of development.

What you'll be doing

As a Child and Family Health Occupational Therapist, you will provide evidence-based assessment and intervention services to children up to 8 years of age experiencing developmental, neurological and motor challenges. You'll work closely with families, educators and healthcare professionals to support children in achieving their developmental goals and maximising participation in everyday activities.

- Assess, triage and provide therapy for children with developmental, neurological and motor difficulties
- Deliver individual, group and educational interventions tailored to each child's needs
- Develop family-centered treatment plans and partner with parents and carers to achieve goals
- Provide education and specialist advice to families, schools, preschools and community stakeholders
- Participate in quality improvement, service development, research and multidisciplinary case planning

- Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Qualifications: Recognised Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy

Selection Criteria

1.



Recognised Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Current Driver's License valid within Australia
3. Demonstrated experience in providing Paediatric Occupational Therapy services.
4. Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with families to provide effective intervention for children within a limited session model.
5. Experience working effectively with families from differing psychosocial, socioeconomic and/or culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
6. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team within a community setting.
7. Highly developed and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English.
8. Demonstrated ability to use a range of computer based applications
