Calling All Quizmasters, Know-It-Alls & Lovers of Fun!

Role: Social Visitor - Games & Activities

Where: Darlinghurst Social Club

When: Fridays, 2:00pm–4:00pm (weekly)

Do you collect random facts like treasures? Can you name a one-hit wonder in three seconds flat? Have you ever shouted the answer at a quiz show on TV?

If so, we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.

Join our lively group of older adults as our resident Trivia Whiz , helping create and run fun, engaging trivia sessions that bring smiles, laughter, and a little friendly competition.

Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It):

- Host quizzes with enthusiasm and good humour

- Keep score and celebrate the winners

- Encourage participation and conversation

- Think on your feet when discussions head delightfully off-topic

We're Looking For Someone Who:

- Loves engaging with people

- Enjoys trivia, games and fun facts

- Speaks clearly and confidently

- Is reliable and consistent

- Brings positive energy and a sense of humour





No skilled quizmaster experience is required- just a willingness to have fun and help create meaningful social connections.

One afternoon a week could become the highlight of someone else's week.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
- Please note that this site is not eligible for Centrelink-approved volunteering and cannot be used for Centrelink volunteer hour sign‑off.
