You will operate within a large and highly regulated environment encompassing the Department of Health and Queensland’s 16 Hospital and Health Services. Key responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning, execution and delivery of the project.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success measures.
- Manage project schedules, resources, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Establish effective governance, assurance, decision-making and reporting arrangements.
- Ensure project deliverables comply with Queensland Health strategies, architecture, policies and standards.
- Engage and influence project boards, senior leaders, Hospital and Health Services, clinical stakeholders, technical teams and vendors.
- Lead statewide engagement and adapt the delivery approach to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Coordinate digital health integration and interoperability activities.
- Lead, manage and mentor a multidisciplinary project team.
- Prepare high-quality executive briefings, project reports, recommendations and decision papers.
About you
- Extensive experience delivering large-scale, complex IM/ICT programs or projects, preferably within healthcare.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, including the ability to influence senior executives and support complex business change.
- Expertise in recognised project management methodologies, preferably PRINCE2.
- Experience establishing and operating robust project governance and assurance frameworks.
- Excellent negotiation, consultation, facilitation and communication skills.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of digital health integration and interoperability, data governance, privacy and cybersecurity.
- An understanding of Queensland Health governance frameworks and policies, or comparable experience within a large, regulated public-sector setting.
- A relevant tertiary or professional qualification will be well regarded but is not mandatory. Previous health-sector experience is highly desirable.
