Learn how to operate and program advanced machinery used to manufacture precision components for Australia’s defence industry. Think robotics, technology, precision engineering and advanced manufacturing.

Engineering Fabrication Apprenticeship (Boilermaker Focus)

Learn how to fabricate, weld and build metal components while working on major naval shipbuilding and defence projects.

About PEER

PEER, in partnership with the Commonwealth and South Australian Governments and TAFE SA, is creating pathways for women to enter Australia’s growing defence and shipbuilding industry through the Shipbuilding Employment Pathways (SEP) Initiative. PEER is a non‑profit Group Training Organisation (GTO) and award‑winning Registered Training Organisation (RTO), delivering nationally accredited training and employing South Australia’s largest building and construction apprentice workforce.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experience levels; however, due to the defence orientation of this role, successful candidates must be eligible to obtain an appropriate level of defence Security Clearance, as defined in the AGSVA guidelines.
