Head of Commercial Finance

$200,000 - $220,000 + Super + 10% Bonus

Please note this is a role based 5 days on site in Sydney CBD. For consideration, you must have full working rights and be able to commute to the CBD 5 days per week.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading international, Australian founded consumer products business as Head of Commercial Finance, following the incumbent's relocation overseas. This is a highly visible finance leadership role supporting the ANZ business during a period of significant growth and transformation.

Reporting to the Finance General Manager for the business area, you'll lead the commercial finance and FP&A; function, managing a high-performing team while influencing strategic decision-making across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Executive Leadership.

This is an opportunity for an experienced FP&A; leader who enjoys partnering with the business, improving performance and embedding best-practice finance processes within a fast-moving commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the commercial finance and FP&A; function across the ANZ business area.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning.
- Deliver executive reporting, Board packs and commercial insights.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to influence business performance.
- Drive pricing strategy, gross margin improvement and trade investment analysis.
- Evaluate commercial proposals, customer contracts and investment decisions.
- Lead and develop a dedicated, small team.




- Drive finance transformation, reporting automation and continuous process improvement.
- Partner closely with Group FP&A; and the Executive Leadership Team on strategic initiatives.

About You

You’ll be an experienced commercial finance leader who enjoys influencing decisions and challenging stakeholders to drive better commercial outcomes. You’re equally comfortable leading teams, presenting to executives and rolling up your sleeves to improve processes.

You’ll ideally bring:

- CA or CPA qualified.
- 10+ years’ experience across commercial finance and FP&A.;
- Proven leadership experience developing high-performing finance teams.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning capability.
- Experience within FMCG, retail, consumer products or another fast-paced commercial environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience analysing pricing, profitability and business performance.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
