Underground Diesel Fitters – Surface Workshop – FIFO from Brisbane – $75–$85/hr

We’re currently seeking experienced Underground Diesel Fitters for an ongoing FIFO opportunity with a well‑established mining contractor. This surface workshop‑based role involves maintenance and repair of a fleet of underground mining equipment. If you have strong underground mining experience and are looking for a long‑term roster with excellent hourly rates, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s on Offer

- FIFO from Brisbane
- Thursday to Thursday roster
- $75–$85 per hour (depending on experience)
- Ongoing opportunity with a reputable operation
- Surface workshop workplace

Experience Required

We’re looking for candidates with underground mining experience, ideally working on equipment such as:

- Epiroc MT65 trucks
- Sandvik DD421 development drills
- Sandvik LH517 loaders




- Sandvik TH550/TH663 or similar underground trucks
- Simba long‑hole drills
- Normet underground equipment
- Boggers (1700 & 2900 series)

To Be Successful You Will Have

- Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Previous underground hard rock mining experienceStrong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work safely in a team environment
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
