As we continue to grow, we're bringing our finance function in-house and are looking for a Financial Controller to lead and develop it.

This is a rare opportunity to build and shape the finance function of a growing international business, working closely with the Directors and having a genuine impact on commercial decision‑making.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will take ownership of the finance function across the Beacon Group, overseeing multiple entities in Australia, the UK, the US and the UAE.

You'll lead our full‑time internal Bookkeeper while partnering with external accountants and advisers to ensure the business operates efficiently, remains compliant and has timely, meaningful financial information to support strategic decision‑making.

This is a broad, hands‑on role that combines financial control with commercial business partnering. You'll have significant autonomy and the opportunity to improve systems, processes and reporting as the business continues to grow.

The role is full‑time, although part‑time may be considered for an exceptional candidate.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the overall management of the Group's finance function, including:

- Leading the month‑end and year‑end finance processes.
- Delivering timely management reporting, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
- Managing cash flow, working capital and financial performance across multiple entities.
- Overseeing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and day‑to‑day finance operations.
- Managing compliance obligations including BAS, payroll tax, superannuation, ASIC and other statutory reporting.
- Coordinating with external accountants for taxation, financial statements and international compliance requirements.
- Managing inter‑company accounting, foreign currency transactions and international finance processes.
- Leading and developing our Bookkeeper while ensuring efficient finance workflows.
- Driving continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting, automation and internal controls.
- Acting as a trusted commercial partner to the Directors, providing financial insight to support business decisions.

About You

You’ll be an experienced finance skilled who enjoys working in a growing business where no two days are the same.

- CA or CPA qualification
- Experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Accountant with end‑to‑end finance responsibility.
- Strong management reporting, financial accounting and commercial finance experience.
- Experience managing payroll and finance operations.
- Strong systems capability, particularly Xero, with the ability to improve processes and leverage technology.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while partnering effectively with senior leadership.
- Experience across multiple entities or international operations will be highly regarded.
