As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Director Corporate Services will lead the Finance, People & Performance, Governance & Risk, ICT & Digital Transformation and Customer Experience functions, and play a central role in shaping how Council operates as it grows.

Priorities

- Elevate people and performance practices. Drive a step-change in how Council builds capability, manages performance and develops culture, lifting organisational performance through contemporary, contemporary people practices that support a growing workforce.
- Lead service planning across the organisation. Bring a whole-of-Council lens to strategic and service planning, working across directorates to ensure services are well-designed, sustainable and ready for a municipality on track to grow significantly over the next decade.
- Build strong executive and councillor relationships.



Operate as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Council, providing the judgement, discretion and communication needed to influence outcomes at the highest levels of the organisation.

About you

You bring a proven track record in a senior corporate services role, with financial and budget accountability, and tertiary qualifications in Business, Management or Accounting (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded). You understand the political environment of local government, you've led organisational change and risk management, and you know how to build the relationships that make things happen, with staff, with executives, and with elected representatives.
