Your role: You will be part of the Projects & Development team in Perth, advising on leading mining, oil & gas and energy transactions across Australia, Asia, and Papua New Guinea. You will deliver client work on high‑profile national and cross‑border transactions and projects, and help identify and win new work opportunities.

Responsibilities

- Advising on acquisitions and divestments in the mining and oil & gas sectors.
- Providing counsel on project development and expansions across mining, oil & gas and energy sectors, including renewables transactions.
- Handling regulatory matters involving mining and oil & gas operations, and the generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity and gas.
- Dealing with joint ventures, JOAs, shareholders agreements and partnership structures.
- Drafting and negotiating minerals and gas sales and transportation agreements, including LNG sales agreements and trading.
- Structuring power purchase agreements.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in mining, oil & gas, or renewables, ideally at a top‑tier firm, international firm or boutique firm.
- Experience in private practice and in‑house counsel, and willingness to return to Australia after overseas practice.
- Ability to work independently and manage smaller matters and elements of larger matters efficiently.
- Solid team ethic and a culture of collaboration.
- Willingness to mentor and develop colleagues.
- Interest in building client relationships.
- Active participation in business development activities, such as pitch documents, pursuits, publications,



industry events and seminars.
- Motivation to build a professional profile and internal networks.
