About the Role:

As a Mining Deputy you will be responsible for leading operational crews, maintaining statutory compliance and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with the site operations plan. Responsibilities are:

- Lead crews to safely execute daily and weekly operating plans.
- Direct, control and monitor work activities in assigned districts.
- Take statutory responsibility for inspections, reporting and compliance requirements.
- Manage shift priorities, resources, equipment and workforce allocation.
- Complete effective shift handovers and communicate key operational risks and priorities.
- Monitor safety, quality and productivity performance throughout the shift.
- Coach, support and develop crew members to improve capability and performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across safety, production, cost and efficiency.

You will need:

- Extensive experience in underground coal mining.




- Demonstrated understanding of coal mining processes, site operations and relevant mining legislation.
- Queensland Deputy / ERZ Controller competency or NSW Deputy Certificate with mutual recognition.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current S1, S2, S3 and G2 competencies.
- Strong leadership, planning, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach and genuine commitment to Zero Harm.
