Director of Finance & Operations

to join the Senior Leadership Team.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a rare opportunity to step into a highly influential leadership role that sits at the heart of the business. You'll drive financial performance, strengthen operational excellence, develop organisational capability, and help execute strategic growth initiatives.

Job Description What You'll Be Responsible For The Director of Finance & Operations role is not a traditional CFO or Financial Controller role focused solely on accounting and compliance. We are looking for a commercially focused leader who understands the connection between financial results, operational execution, customer outcomes, systems, and people capability - and knows how to bring them together to create sustainable business success.

Core Areas Of Responsibility Include Commercial Finance & Business Performance

Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.

Drive profitability, pricing strategy, margin optimisation, and performance improvement.

Build financial models, business cases,



and investment analyses to support growth.

Enhance reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and business intelligence capabilities to support commercial decision making

Operations Leadership

Provide leadership and oversight of the Operations function, ensuring operational decisions are underpinned by sound commercial judgement

Improve business processes, utilisation, resourcing, systems, and operational efficiency.

Support workforce planning, capacity management, and operational scalability.

Strategic Growth & Transformation

Support the execution of strategic initiatives and growth objectives.

Lead finance-related transformation projects and systems improvements.

Assess investment opportunities, business cases, and potential acquisitions.

Leadership & Culture

Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance and operations teams.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Build organisational capability through leadership development and succession planning.

Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Leadership Team.

The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate for the Finance & Operations Director position will be a commercially astute leader who enjoys partnering with the business to drive outcomes, not just report results. You combine strategic thinking with a practical,



hands-on approach and have a proven track record of leading teams through growth and transformation.

You'll Bring

CA or CPA qualification.

10+ years experience in senior finance, commercial, operations, or business leadership roles.

Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, pricing, profitability analysis, and business performance management.

Experience within MSP, cybersecurity, technology services, IT consulting, or similar service-based environments highly regarded.

Deep understanding of recurring revenue business models and service-based commercial metrics.

Proven success leading change, improving systems, and driving business performance.

Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.

A collaborative leadership style and passion for developing people and teams.
