We’re seeking an experienced legal or compliance professional to support a short-term advisory project focused on regulatory, governance, and conduct practices in the corporate finance and M&A; sector.
The role involves developing practical frameworks and learning materials that help boutique and mid‑market advisory firms strengthen their governance, compliance culture, and professional standards — with an emphasis on how regulation applies in real deal environments.
This would suit someone who:
- Has a background in corporate, commercial, or financial services law, or compliance experience within an AFSL‑holding advisory or investment firm.
- Understands how M&A; and capital markets transactions operate — particularly in areas such as conflicts management, confidentiality,
and market conduct.
- Is familiar with ASIC regulatory guides (e.g. RG105, RG146, RG271) and can translate those principles into practical business language.
- Has strong communication skills and enjoys turning complex regulation into clear, commercially relevant insights.
We’re flexible on structure — this could suit an independent consultant, a lawyer between roles, or a compliance qualified seeking project‑based work.
