Senior Associate / Special Counsel – Employment Relations & Safety | Brisbane

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its high-performing Employment Relations & Safety team in Brisbane. This is an opportunity to work on complex, meaningful matters—particularly within the public sector—while being supported by a collaborative and down-to‑earth team.

Working closely with a highly regarded Partner and a respected group of practitioners, you’ll play a key role advising government and private sector clients on a broad range of employment and industrial relations matters.

What you’ll be doing:

- Advising on workforce management, disciplinary processes and IR strategy
- Acting in disputes across tribunals, including unfair dismissal, discrimination and general protections matters
- Managing investigations into misconduct, corruption and code of conduct issues
- Supporting clients with performance, termination and compliance matters
- Delivering training and thought leadership across workplace issues

What you’ll bring:

- 5+ years’ PAE in employment/IR law
- Strong experience across federal and Queensland IR frameworks
- Background working with (or advising) government clients highly regarded




- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- A genuine interest in mentoring and contributing to team development
