Shift: 08:30–17:00, Monday–Friday (no public holidays). On‑call: Yes, 1:2 weeknight and weekend on calls.
Responsibilities
- Provide acute, multidisciplinary treatment to patients presenting with acute mental health issues that cannot be treated in the community.
- Manage a 24‑bed locked adult inpatient unit with an additional 3 intensive care area (ICA) beds.
- Work within a team comprising 2 consultants and 4 registrars.
- Contribute to a cross‑border service; as required, consultants may be rostered across all mental health service sites.
