Angrave Engineering Vic Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team on a full-time basis at our Bayswater, VIC facility. This role is pivotal to our manufacturing operations, where you will operate (CNC) machinery to produce quality components for our diverse clientele. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, setting up machinery, and ensuring all products meet our quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to work and contribute directly to the success of our engineering products.

Key responsibilities

Operate CNC machines including mills, lathes, and turning centres to produce precision components according to technical specifications and drawings

Program and set up CNC machinery

Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality, accuracy, and adherence to tolerances

Inspect finished components using measuring instruments and quality control equipment

Interpret and work from engineering drawings, and written specifications

Maintain detailed records of production runs, inspections, and any quality issues

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality requirements

Adhere to all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment

What we are looking for

Proven experience operating CNC machinery, including mills and turning centres in a manufacturing environment

Strong proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications





Sound knowledge of precision measurement tools and quality control practices

Familiarity with CNC programming basics and the ability to make minor program adjustments

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing work that meets tight tolerances

Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team environment

Strong commitment to health and safety standards

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in machining or engineering trades
