- Salary Classification: Social Worker Level 3 (year 1-2)
- Remuneration: $58.95 - $60.86 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join our dedicated team at Calvary Mater Newcastle. In this senior role, you will deliver high-quality clinical services, work closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff and help shape the future of social work services within a compassionate and values-driven healthcare environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Social Work or other equivalent qualification and eligible for membership of the AASW
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in psychosocial theory and assessment




- Demonstrated ability to work with patients and their carers with times of crisis and those with life-limiting and/or terminal illnesses, including at end of life
- Demonstrated experience in a hospital setting and ability to undertake high-level assessment and brief intervention skills within this setting
- Demonstrated advanced organisational, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated capacity to provide staff supervision and demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development

Eligibility Requirements

- Have unlimited working rights in Australia
- Successfully complete pre-employment checks including reference checks, work rights, criminal history check and WWCC checks to ensure suitability for the role
- Provide evidence of immunisation as required for the role
