GRW Group is seeking an experienced Chinese Translator / Interpreter to join our growing team on the Gold Coast.

The successful candidate will provide accurate written and verbal translation and interpreting services between Mandarin Chinese and English across business, property, legal, research, and operational matters. You will support effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders by translating documents, interpreting meetings, and assisting with correspondence and other business-related activities.

The role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to interpret and translate accurately without altering the intended meaning. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

Provide accurate and skilled interpretation services during client meetings, financial consultations, and business negotiations

Translate written materials including financial documents, contracts, policies, and business correspondence from English to Chinese and vice versa

Ensure cultural sensitivity and contextual accuracy in all translation and interpretation work to maintain the integrity of business communications

Support corporate development initiatives by facilitating communication between the company and Chinese-speaking partners, clients, and stakeholders

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information and proprietary business matters

Collaborate with internal teams to understand terminology, context, and business requirements for specialised translation projects

Attend meetings, presentations, and events as required to provide real-time interpretation services

Proofread and review translated materials to ensure quality,



consistency, and compliance with company standards

What we're looking for

Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese (and/or Cantonese), with near-native proficiency in both languages

Professional qualification or certification in translation or interpretation, or equivalent demonstrated experience

Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, ideally within the financial services, or project-related information

Strong understanding of financial terminology, investment products, construction, and wealth management concepts

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and accurately

Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to navigate nuanced cross-cultural business contexts

High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive business information

Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work

Ability to work independently and manage multiple translation or interpretation assignments simultaneously

Strong organisational skills and reliability in meeting tight deadlines
