We are seekingreliable and motivatedCooks to joinour Food Servicesteam and supportthe preparation anddelivery of safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals forour residents.

Working alongside theChef Manager, Chefs, and broader hospitalityteam, you willcontribute to apositive dining experienceby preparing mealsthat meet residents' individualdietary, cultural, andclinical requirements whilemaintaining the higheststandards of foodsafety and quality.

About the Role

The Cook supportsthe preparation, cooking, and presentation ofmeals within ourresidential aged careenvironment,ensuring food isprepared safely, efficiently, and in accordancewith approved menus, food safety standards, and residents' individualneeds.

This hands-onrole is suitedto someone whoenjoys workingas part ofa collaborative team, takes pride inproducing quality meals, and values creatingpositive dining experiencesthat enhance residents' wellbeing, dignity, andquality oflife.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook, andpresent meals inaccordance with approvedmenus, recipes, andproduction schedules.
- Prepare meals thatmeet therapeutic, allergy,cultural, religious,



andtexture-modified dietaryrequirements.
- Prepare texture-modifiedmeals and thickenedfluids in accordancewith the IDDSIFramework.
- Support resident choicewherever possible whilemaintaining nutritionaland clinical requirements.
- Ensure meals areserved at theappropriate temperature, consistency, and presentationstandard.

Food Safety & Compliance

- Maintain high standardsof food safety, hygiene, and infectionpreventionand control.
- Ensure correct storage, labelling, rotation, andhandling of food, including allergen management.
- Complete food safetymonitoring and documentationaccurately and ina timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, andorganised kitchen environment.
- Report food safety, infection control, orequipment concerns promptly.

Resident Experience & Quality

- Support a respectful, welcoming, and person-centred dining experience.
- Work collaboratively withcare, clinical, and hospitality staffto ensure residents' dietary needs aremet.
- Participate in audits, inspections, training,and continuous improvementactivities.
- Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentialityat all times.

Operational & Team Support

- Work collaboratively withthe Chef Manager, Chefs, Food ServiceAttendants, and widercare team.
- Assist with stockrotation, food preparationplanning, portion control, and waste minimisation.
- Support meal servicesacross weekdays, weekends, and public holidaysas rostered.




- Provide guidance andsupport to FoodService Attendants whenrequired.

About You

To be successfulin this role, you willhave:

- Previous experience workingas a Cookin a commercialkitchen environment.
- Food Safety SupervisorCertificate (essential).
- Current NDIS WorkerScreening Check.
- Current First Aidand CPR certification (desirable).
- Certificate III inCommercial Cookery orequivalent experience (desirable).
- Experience working inaged care, healthcare, disability, orother regulated environments (desirable).
- Experience preparing specialdiets and texture-modified meals.
- Knowledge of foodsafety legislation, infectionprevention and control, and safe foodhandling practices.
- Understandingof the IDDSIFramework and thenutritional needs ofolder people.
- Robust communication, teamwork, organisational, and timemanagement skills.
- A professional, reliable, and positive approachto work.
- Full working rightsin Australia.
- Training in infectionprevention, manual handling, IDDSI, or agedcare nutrition ishighly regarded.
