St Luke's Anglican School is seeking a compassionate, engaging and capable Academic Tutor to join our Learning Hub team. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference by working alongside students who benefit from additional academic support, helping them build confidence, develop effective learning habits and experience success.

This role is ideally suited to pre-service teachers, university students studying education or related disciplines, retired educators/teachers, teacher aides, and professionals with experience supporting children and young people. Whether you're looking to gain valuable experience in a school environment, complement your existing career, or continue making a meaningful difference in education, this flexible role offers the opportunity to build your skills while positively impacting students' learning and confidence. The Opportunities

- School term-time role with flexible afternoon hours (approximately 3:00 pm – 4:30/5:00 pm, Monday to Friday)
- Additional hours may be available by mutual agreement

About You

- A genuine passion for supporting young people to learn and succeed
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsThe ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students
- Patience, empathy and the ability to adapt your approach to individual learning needs
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a professional team
- Relevant qualifications, current tertiary study, or demonstrated experience in education, tutoring, learning support or a related field
- A current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or the ability to obtain one
- A commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment aligned with our values of Faith, Performance and Honour.
