As our Energy division continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Environmental & Technical Services Manager to lead the delivery of energy, sustainability and technical services across a diverse national portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapid-growing business and play a key role in shaping the future of our Energy division.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Future Energy Director, you will lead the delivery of environmental, technical and energy management services, driving operational excellence, energy performance and sustainability outcomes for our clients.

This role combines technical expertise, commercial acumen and people leadership. You will lead a specialist team, oversee Building Management System (BMS) operations, manage energy reporting and compliance, and identify opportunities to optimise asset performance and reduce operating costs across commercial portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

As our Environmental & Technical Services Manager, you will:

- Lead the delivery of Environmental & Technical Services across a national client portfolio.
- Manage and develop a specialist team including our Electrical Engineer – BMS Programming and Energy Administrator.
- Oversee energy data platforms, analytics and reporting to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Identify and implement energy efficiency initiatives, optimisation strategies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage energy budgets, forecasting,



accruals and financial reporting.
- Lead sustainability reporting, including NGERS compliance and emissions reporting.
- Oversee utility billing validation, invoice management and retailer relationships.
- Provide technical leadership across HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) and building performance optimisation.
- Support project delivery, procurement activities and contractor performance management.
- Prepare and present operational, technical and financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration and workplace safety.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Degree qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience within energy management, sustainability, building services or technical facilities management.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) and building optimisation.
- Experience with energy analytics, reporting platforms and data management.
- Knowledge of NGERS, IPMVP and sustainability reporting frameworks.
- Understanding of energy markets, utility management and tariff optimisation.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and business case development.




- Proven leadership experience managing specialist teams and external service providers.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- A commercial mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement and delivering outstanding client outcomes.
