AIM Advisory is seeking a strategic, commercially focused and highly motivated Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across Australia and New Zealand.
The role is responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities across healthcare, social infrastructure, sports and recreation, education, justice, defence and community infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will expand relationships with architects, builders, government agencies, project managers, developers and other key decision-makers while driving opportunities across AIM Advisory's full suite of services.
This role will have a particular focus on growing AIM Advisory's market presence in:
· Medical Equipment Planning
· Back-of-House Operational Planning
· Commissioning and Transition Planning

The Business Development Manager will manage opportunities from lead generation through to contract award and work closely with the leadership team to support strategic growth objectives.
Business Development & Sales
· Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue growth targets.
· Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across target markets and sectors.
· Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, builders, project managers, health authorities, government agencies, developers, operators, and industry stakeholders.
· Develop strategic account plans for key client relationships.
· Lead client engagement activities, presentations, capability discussions, and opportunity pursuit strategies.
· Identify upcoming projects and procurement opportunities through market intelligence and stakeholder engagement.
· Negotiate commercial terms and support contract execution.
Logistics & Back-of-House Advisory Sales
· Promote AIM Advisory's logistics planning and back-of-house operational advisory services.
· Identify opportunities relating to:
o Central stores and distribution centres
o Loading docks and goods receival
o Waste management systems
o Linen management systems
o Food services and catering logistics
o Supply chain optimisation
o Facilities management support services
o Hospital operational readiness and transition planning
· Engage with healthcare operators, facility managers, logistics managers and operational planning teams to identify service opportunities.
· Work with technical specialists to develop solutions that improve operational efficiency and workflow outcomes.
· Position AIM Advisory as a market leader in healthcare and social infrastructure operational planning.
Client Relationship Management
· Establish and nurture long-term client relationships.
· Maintain regular contact with existing clients to identify repeat work and emerging opportunities.
· Ensure a high level of client satisfaction throughout the business development lifecycle.
· Represent AIM Advisory at meetings, conferences, networking events and industry forums.
Prospect Management & CRM
· Manage the full business development lifecycle from prospect identification through to project handover.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system, including:
o Opportunities
o Contact information
o Client engagement history
o Meeting records
o Pipeline forecasts
o Follow-up actions
· Track and report on business development activities and opportunity status.
Tender & Proposal Support
· Support the preparation of Expressions of Interest (EOIs), tender submissions,
fee proposals, capability statements and presentations.
· Contribute to win strategies and client engagement plans.
· Collaborate with technical and project delivery teams to develop compelling proposals.
· Support proposal interviews and client presentations.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Growth
· Monitor market trends, capital works programs, government investment announcements and procurement pipelines.
· Maintain awareness of industry developments and competitor activity.
· Provide regular market intelligence and strategic recommendations to senior management.
· Identify opportunities for service expansion and new market entry.
· Achievement of annual revenue and growth targets.
· Number and value of qualified opportunities generated.
· Conversion rate of opportunities to secured work.
· Accuracy and maintenance of Business Development (CRM) data.
· Growth of strategic client relationships.
· Tender and proposal success rate.
· Pipeline value and forecast accuracy.
· Number of new client engagements and meetings.
· Growth in logistics and back-of-house advisory opportunities.
· Contribution to overall company growth and strategic objectives.
Essential
· Minimum 5 years' experience in business development, sales, client management or account management.
· Strong experience developing relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
· Proven ability to generate and convert opportunities into revenue.
· Solid commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience using CRM systems and pipeline management tools.
· Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Desirable
· Experience within healthcare, hospital, aged care, social infrastructure, logistics, construction, engineering, architecture, property or consulting sectors.
· Existing relationships with architects, builders, government departments, health authorities, or project management firms.
· Experience supporting tender submissions and proposal development.
· Familiarity with logistics planning, operational readiness, supply chain management, healthcare operations, or back-of-house planning.
