The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Finance Manager and with a dotted line to the CFO, this role plays a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting and commercial insights across manufacturing and supply chain operations. You'll work closely with operational leaders to understand business drivers, improve financial performance and support informed decision-making across the organisation. This is an excellent prospect for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business, analysing operational performance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of contracted supplier processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Develop, maintain and review standard costing models, ensuring Bills of Material and production routings accurately reflect manufacturing costs
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments and variance analysis
- Investigate financial and operational variances, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
- Identify forecast risks and opportunities to improve financial accuracy and support proactive decision-making
- Partner with manufacturing and site leadership teams to improve understanding of key financial and operational metrics
- Produce and maintain weekly manufacturing KPI reporting, providing insights into cost performance and operational efficiency
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, capital planning and long-term financial planning activities
- Assist with product costing and broader finance team initiatives as required
- Deliver financial education and process training to internal stakeholders to enhance commercial understanding across the business
About You
We are keen to hear from finance professionals who bring a blend of technical capability, commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills. You will ideally possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- Previous experience in a commercial finance, analyst or management accounting capacity
- Experience within an FMCG, manufacturing or supply chain environment
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to translate financial data into practical business insights
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders across varying levels of the organisation
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation
