Our client, a privately owned leader in Food Processing, has presented a career‑enhancing opening for Full‑Time Day‑Shift Maintenance Fitter at their Broadmeadows, VIC further processing facility. Due to industry demand, the business is adding to their 1500+ employees during this growth phase.

Hourly Rate: $47.70 + super

Shift: 5am – 1pm, Monday to Friday/Tuesday to Saturday

Overtime: Available for those interested – x2.0 on Sundays

Workday: 8‑hour shifts, 38‑hour week

Some weekend work required and overtime available for industry award.

Key Responsibilities

- Organise and maintain the day‑to‑day running of the site’s production lines, associated plant/equipment and fixed property
- Responsible for keeping the equipment performing to its required production rate, exceeding these rates where possible
- Responsible for maintaining the preventative maintenance programme in relation to the production line to ensure there are minimal unplanned stoppages and breakdowns

Ideal Candidate





- Holds a current Mechanical Trade certification – Fitter or Machinist – and has a good understanding of fault finding and repair on production machinery
- Previous experience in FMCG setting with an understanding of good manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
- Welding experience
- Experience with high speed packing machines, conveyors, sensors, packers, etc.
- Attitude of continuous learning and communicates positive energy to the team
