If you enjoy solving real structural problems, working closely with clients and seeing your designs actually get built well, you’ll enjoy this role.

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a capable, practical engineer to own a varied project mix. What makes this role different is the level of ownership and trust you’ll have. You won’t just be producing calculations. You’ll be:

- Contributing to how the team works and improves

Please submit a cover letter detailing your interest in KUSCH and the role and a recent resume. Please note applications without cover letters will not be considered.

- Attend site as needed (not excessively)

- Support project delivery including scope, timelines, and budgets

- Contribute to improving how we design and deliver work

- Support junior team members as needed

- Champion our values: Trust, People-first, Humility, Solution-focused, Fun, in everything you do

What you’ll bring

- Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering

- At least 2 years experience in structural design within Australia, including steel design

- Strong understanding of Australian standards, codes and safety regulations (including AS 4100)

- Experience with structural analysis and modelling tools, including FEA

- A knack for creating clever, value-driven designs, balancing performance, cost, and buildability

- Practical experience with structural inspections and certifications

- Confidence reviewing drawings, solving site issues, reporting and certification

- Clear communication skills (both written and verbal) and confident in speaking with clients

- Organised and dependable, you know how to manage time across multiple projects

- Ability to think in practical, buildable solutions

- Ownership of your work

Bonus points for:

- Confident using Bluebeam Revu to mark up drawings and collaborate efficiently

- Experience with Autodesk Revit or other 3D design tools

What We Offer:

- Be part of a highly engaged team, with 89.5% employee engagement score and 97% favourable overall employee satisfaction in our 2026 Employee Engagement Survey

- A genuinely interesting mix of projects

- Real ownership without unnecessary layers

- A team that values good engineering over ego

- Hybrid working with flexibility

- Competitive salary aligned to experience

- Chill Days: 2 additional paid leave days per year to volunteer, reset, or do your thing

- Ongoing development and the chance to grow with the business

- An Employee Share Plan (ESP) so you can share in the growth you help create.

- Genuine scope to step into leadership over time for the right person who’s keen to take on more responsibility and help shape how we work.
